We've published our main Goodwood Festival of Speed 2009 blogs and galleries here – but we've come back with so many more snapshots and handycam video clips that we've pulled them altogether on this page. So here's a rag-bag mixture of amateur handiwork from our team of roving reporters. Spawned from the very middle of the road Passat, the CC brings the style of the Mercedes CLS to the sector below. A truly good looking car, which should, if there were any justice, sell by the bucket load. VW Passat CC now gets the superb DSG gearbox
And VW has just made the CC even more desirable by adding a 7 speed DSG option to the mix.
The unique RHD Mercedes Benz CLK-GTR
The CLK-GTR is a by-product of Mercedes’ involvement in the FIA GT1 class in the late ’90s. A condition of entry for cars was that road-going versions had to be made, so Mercedes (along with Porsche, who built the even rarer Porsche 911 GT1 to compete in the series) bit the bullet and produced a very limited run of the GTR. Despite a passing resemblance to a CLK, the only parts that were actually CLK were the grill and the dash housing.
